The Nokia 6670 is a lately introduced handset by Nokia which is definitely good looking. It seems that any Nokia production handset ought to look different. After all its Nokia: The trend setters of the industry. This handset has an irresistable screen and camera. Apart from these, it also has a satisfactory battery life unlike the other handsets by Nokia. The design is peculiar yet stylish and attractive.

Also the inclusion of SyncML to remotely synchronize data such as calendar, contacts and appointments. The Mobile Wallet 2.0 assits in convenient online use and storage of numbers and passwords, Integrated Internet browser supports HTML, XHTML and WML. Like most of the Nokia handsets there is a provision of OMA DRM forward lock for content protection, Pop Port Interface, Bluetooth wireless technology and USB 2.0 connectivity.


The handset includes Integrated 1 megapixel camera (1152 x 864 pixels) with 4x digital zoom, Camera with 2 modes (standard and night), though not an exeption, also self-timer, video recorder supporting QCIF (128 x 96) sizes. The user is allowed to capture video clips upto 10 minutes.

In order to edit the snaps and videos, the applications provide Movie Director, Photo editor, Manual Video editor and Snapshot which are pre-installed in the Reduced size multimedia card(RS-MMC). With reference to messaging, the user enjoys Multimedia messaging MMS, automatic resizing of megapixel images to fit the MMS format, Concatenated SMS (MO/MT), distribution list, picture messaging, Email (SMTP, IMAP4, POP3), instant messaging, T9 predictive text input, optional Nokia wireless keyboard SU-8W that is used to type longer messages and sent to phone through Bluetooth.

The user can send pictures via Bluetooth, MMS and email. One can enjoy quality photos in easy prints from compatible printer as well. Leaving this apart the handset contains document viewers i.e Quickword, Quicksheet and Quickpoint, calendar, to-do list, notepad, synchronization of PIM features with PC via Nokia PC Suite and Adobe PDF documents can be displayed by Netfront Internet Browser.

The users can play favourite MP3/AAC tunes with the Real One player that can be set as a ringing tone as well. In addition to the the phone enjoys 8MB of integrated user memory, Reduce-size MMC support(64 MB).

The applications provided with Java technology are MIDP2.0 with Mobile Media API (JSR 135), Bluetooth API(JSR 82) and Wireless Messaging API (JSR 120). There are digital services available with Symbian applications that are available from Nokia Software market. The user can get graphics, icons, animations and logos including download of new games.

The Nokia 6670 facilitates the user to download new themes, ring tones(SP-MIDI) i.e 24 polyphonics, MIDI i.e 48 polyphonics and true tones. The other feature that it provides are Internal antenna and Internal vibrator.

The battery life as mentioned earlier is long in comparision with other pieces. The standby time is upto 2 to 4 hours and upto 150 to 240 hours. Good! Nokia 6670 didn't let itself down with regard to battery. The handset does not give much of a problem except that it does not have lens cover and it has small memory. Also there is an absense of brightness control which could have proven to be a handy feature. Also a stereo headset could have been included in the sales pakage.The advantages of being all-round performer and being bundled up with great rock solid software makes it a top choice and a hot deal.
