What does our brain share with a fried sausage? A cell membrane created from minute fat droplets that swim in salt water.The structures are similar and radiation is said to have a similar effect on them.

Professor Markus Antonietti from Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces Colloid in Potsdam has experimented with such artificial membranes.To create such membranes, the physicist formed layers of fat particles of different sizes and irradiated them with microwaves.In doing so,he kept varying the frequency and intensity of the microwaves.The result of the research have been published in a scientific journal. One of the finding stated in the journal is that ion channels in the membranes act as electrical dipoles and hold a lot of energy in the smallest of spaces.Although the scientific work does not directly deal with mobile radios,these facts can be applied to day to day life.

Danger of radiation,mobile phone heat the brain.Even the cell in our brain communicate with each other through such ion channels; so while conversing on a mobile phone,these cell might have major role to play in heating the small areas of the brain stronger than percieved earlier. The current theshold values restrict the " Specific Absorption Rate" ( SAR) to 2 watt per kg for mobile phones. However,Antonetti's work suggests that the cell walls can reach drastically high temperatures.For the time being,the physicist is not willing to comment further on his findings.There also needs to be further research done to discover the effect of radio waves on cell membranes by using real,biological tissue.Until then,once can only speculate with that fried sausage in the microwaves

Nokia,Mobile Projector With 100 GB Memory

Nokia has provided a preview of their forthcoming mobile phones.In this year 2010,these devices are to offer multimedia functions such as integrated mini projectors.Even the quality of currently used 3D sound will be far more superior ,this is what Nokia has to say about the future Kino tones. In future,display will have VSA solution which is double the one that is currently used.

Phone cameras will come with 7x optical zoom as well as 10 mega pixel solutions,and will also allow HD recordings.Data up to 100GB can be stored within the internal memory.Synchronisation with PC will no longer required in 2010.According to Nokia,the mobile phone will act as a server and will provide photos or videos over the network.

Overall, the Solar Mio is an interesting device.I think the price below USD 300.But what you do get with that price is Solar Mio itself,10 different charger jacks, a car kit as an alternative source for charging,and a normal power adapter to prime the battery ( like when you get a new mobile phone ).If you are an outdoor person and a power point is not anywhere in sight,you will find that the Solar Mio will come in pretty handy:). HP iPAQ rw6800 Personal Messenger

I love the battery life,speedy performance and bright screen,but miss the keyboard of Mobile Messengers

HP took its first steps into the smartphone market with the hw6500 Mobile Messenger,but the Personal Messenger series is distinct in to way: it is more targeted at consumers and does not included a keyboard.

The rw6800 feels more like a generic smartphone than a sophisticated piece of hand crafted hardware.in particular, the silver plastic finish veers towards tacky in place and it is thick at 19mm.This thickness is partly due to a big battery,with a 1,530Ah removable unit inside.That led to some decent scores in our real life battery life test,lasting for around four days between recharges despite some heavy use - HP claims a talk time of five and a half hour and standby of ten days.Another boon is that unlike previous iPAQs,this one can recharge via the standard mini USB port.

It is also fast.A 416MHz processor means Windows Mobile 5 speeds along and whatever task we were performing we could not complain about the iPAQs responsiveness.The screen is similarly impressive,with 240 x 320 pixels and a bright backlight.The flip up cover is another plus,as it means you can shove the iPAQ into a pocket without worrying about scratches.

All this make the iPAQ an excellent device for viewing email. The trouble is started missing the keyboard of Mobile Messengers.Even sending a text becomes a bind when you have to use the mini on screen keyboard or character recognition.

Fortunately,Bluetooth is available for hooking up the optional HP iPAQ BT Foldable Keyboard ( part code FA802AA),headphones or virtually any other peripheral,while Wi Fi is another excellent inclusion.The lack of 3G is drawback but at least EDGE and GPRS are on hand

There is a lot to like here,there's even a decent 2 megapixel camera which takes great picture in good lighting but without an easy way to input information,it falls short a Recommended award.
