Even though the new iPhone stunned all viewers at the MacWorld 200,it was not the only highlight. This is cause the "iTV" streaming box that was announced in Sept 2006 was being launched. It would be know as 'Apple TV' in the market.
The device transfers movies, musics and photos from PC to TV,thus providing a whole new facet of comfort in your connected home.As with all of Apple devices, the manufacturer had adopted a fimiliar design and has not forgotten to incorporate easy operation.
The box can be connected to a PC or Mac through WLAN and its iTunes library will be automatically loaded to the integrated hard disk. This also included HD videos with resolution of 1080i and 720p supported. Moreover the contents of up to five other PCs can be streamed to the box.Practical: Due to the 'Apple remote' provided with the device, the user can easily operate the device even from a TV chair integrated W-LAN Standard 802.11n is especially suitable for the wireless transfer of movies and musics.
Thanks to data rates of up to 540Mbit/s it streams high resolution movies without any jerks.
Apple recommended a modern TV, preferably the one with a wide screen with HDMI or component input for enjoying the movie to the fullest. And of course digital surround sound should pose no problem with the presence of the optical output. What's missing at the present is the content. The iTunes store would only offer feature movies and TV serials in Europe during the course of this year. The situation is the same as that of iPhone: Only iTunes customers can take complete advantage of this Apple device
