Hi,today I want to share with all of you about nokia phone.Actually I used nokia 6600 for a 3 years. In my country ( Malaysia) nowday the nokia phone is the most popular phone.Everone from the primary school pupil until the oldest use the nokia phone.
Today let us preview the latest nokia phone-Nokia 5500 Sport. After this I will sharing with another preview the latest nokia phone model.Hopefully it will be help you before you get one.Let see...
The Nokia 5500-the sporty looking smartphone has qualities that will bring delight to the the user's eyes. That is because it has a very sleek body, can comfortably fit into one's palm, the keypad is well situated, the display is fairly compact considering the placement of the keypad as well. To add on to its reputation, the Nokia 5500 is armed with splash and dust resistant shell, ergonomic stainless steel casing and rubber grips. A 5-way navigational key has been fixed just below the display that serves to organize three dedicated modes namely a phone mode, music mode and the sports mode. The phone comprises of an unusual set of 3 applications with the assistance of a pedometer namely-Quick start, Diary and Tests. These help you keep a track of your training sessions. They let you know the number of steps or strides you take and thereby record information about your training sessions with the help of an accurately working 3D sensor.
Dimensions & WeightThe Nokia 5500 measures 107 x 45 x 18mm, 77cc thereby weighing 103g. Not bad, considering that most of the smartphones are bulky and heavy. But Nokia 5500 is an exception. It is regarded to be a light-weighted smartphone in comparison with the other smartphones invented by Nokia.
DisplayThe display resolutes 208 x 208 pixels and supports upto 262 K colours on the TFT screen. The sharpness of the image is satisfactory though it cannot compete with the display qualities of the handsets like Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson. When the menu view is switched to grid listings, it displays only three rows of icons. This obviously makes it inconvenient for the user to keep scrolling quite frequently.
RingtonesThe Nokia 5500 supports polyphonic and MP3 ringtones that are downloadable with vibration alert.
MemoryThe handset slots a microSD memory card which has 64 MB memory capacity. The memory capacity of the microSD card may vary depending on the country you live in. The phone unfortunately does not support hotswap slot. The memory card slot is situated under the battery. I must let you know, that microSD cards is a comparatively new technology, so these cards are expensive than the other memory cards such as MMC and RS-MMC.
Data TransferThe phone supports GPRS class 10 with EDGE support. The users may surf through the net with the help of built-in browsers that supports WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML encoding. The phone comprises of three of the most commonly utilized data transfer ports namely, the Bluetooth (version 2.0), the infrared (IrDA port) and the USB (version 2.0, Pop-Port).
CameraThe phone serves with a 2 megapixel camera which has an image resolution of 1600x1200 pixels, 1152x864 and 640x480 pixels respective of the selected settings. The pictures can be clicked in standard mode, night mode, self timer mode, and series of photos. White balance can be setup by three options - Sunny, Incandescent, Fluorescent. Colour settings / SFX are standard- Sepia, Black&White, and Negative. I thought, a feature such as Autofocus(like the one found in Sony Ericsson's K750i) would have made this phone a hot seller. The camera does not have the support a LED flash. Since you can scale the photo in the built-in editor, and later on save it, there is no need to use the zoom facilty. The quality will be higher. The video recording result is average. The only available resolutions are 176x144 and 128x96 pixels at 15 frames per second. The recording supports 3GP format. Sound can be disabled if wanted.
BatteryAccording to the manufacturers, the 860 mAh is capable BL-5B functions from 2 to 4 hours of talk time and for 150-270 hours in standby mode.
Other FeaturesThe Nokia 5500 supports Symbian Series 60 Operating system with the usual messaging features that includes SMS, MMS, Email, etc. The phone is available in
two colours- black and grey. It enables the user to enjoy the text to speech facility. There are services like Push-to-talk (PTT), Java MIDP 2.0, Stereo FM radio, MP3/AAC/MPEG4 player, Flashlight, T9 for enhanced messaging, Voice command/memo. PIM features that include the usual applications like calendar, to-do list, Integrated handsfree.
